The celebration cultural than more I like is the Patriotic Festivities, but in my opinion the people not commemorated as the independence day of Chile, usually they go outside the city, for visited to they family . Others they use them as a little holiday and to travel to any touristic place nice for them or simply there are people than they engaged to have fun dancing and drinking in excess.

i like all cultures chile. I like viña del mar music festival more than the Patriotic Festivities, because I love music and I can see and hear very famous artists. also I laugh a lot with animators participating in the festival.the year 2012 I went to hear the bunkers, I saw and heard many artists live. ResponderBorrar“Fiestas Patrias” is the most important celebration in Chile, because this celebration is transversal for all the people of the country. In this date, we celebrate the first “Junta de gobierno”, a crucial event for the independence of Chile. Also in musical events, the “Frotera Festival” is smaller than “Festival de Viña del Mar”, but it celebrate the Latin-American culture.
Chile has some very important festivals, where some cultural traditions as in the case of the “Festival de la Tirana” in north of Chile; but also the Music Festival Viña del Mar, where singers and humorists are presented; the most polular celebration and I like is “Fiestas Patrias”, because I like to meet my family and friends, we eating meat and drinking wine… is fantastic !!

Perhabs is not a very cultural festival like "Festival de la Tirana" but is really important at international level.
ResponderBorrarThe best cultural celebration in Chile is the 18th September, when commemorates the indenpendence of Chile. In this date we see all the traditions of the Chilean countryside and we see too the country dressed in the national colours: White, blue and red. The best place for celebrations is outside Santiago, in the provinces, specifically in the rural locations, there is the patriotic spirit.

For the same reason as the article says Chileans are not only those who celebrate it, also foreigners. ResponderBorrarIn my opinion Patriotic Festivities is the best celebration. During two or three days Chile's independence is celebrate eating "asado" and drinking "terremoto" or "Chicha". Also playing typical games like "emboque", hopscotch or raising volantin. It is an opportunity to be with family and friends either at home or a fonda.
I think that Chile have many beathiful and insteresting celebrations, for example La fiesta de la Tirana, has religius and indigenous topics, and beathiful costumes and popular music, but in my opinion the most important celebration, is Fiestas Patrias, it call all country to celebrate the independece and make many "barbacue" or "asado", and dance cueca.
